OVERVIEW Through active service learning projects, our Community Outreach Program helps our students understand the importance of their involvement in the community and the power of their volunteerism.
We look beyond our own campuses to share resources and promote educational equity with Oakland's public elementary schools. Through teacher workshops and partnerships, enrichment classes, book drives and tutoring programs, Park has touched the lives of over 10,000 children beyond our own classrooms.
Recently, our Community Partnership for Mindfulness in Eductation has been instrumental in bringing "mindfulness" training to some of our public school partners (click here to view the ABC News report)
