Thank you for your interest in Park Day School! Whether you want to learn more about the school through parent tours and open houses, or are ready to dive into the application itself, we are here to support you throughout the process. We look forward to getting to know your family!
Step 1 – Request Information
Submit an online inquiry to let us know you are interested in learning more about Park Day School. We will mail you an admission packet and you will begin to hear from us about upcoming admission events.
We have limited spaces available in select grades for the 2017-18 school year. Sign up to visit campus if you are interested in learning more or contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 510-653-0317 x101. If you are thinking about schools for the 2018-19 school year, our tour and open house program will begin in Fall of 2017. Middle School Tours take place on select Thursdays. Lower School Tours take place on select Tuesdays and Fridays.
Parent Association Admission EventsOpen Houses take place on the following Sundays: October 29, November 12, December 3. There is childcare for children 4+ during the K5 Open Houses, and students are encouraged to attend the Open Houses if applying to 6th, 7th or 8th. In early January we have "free play" on the yard for students entering Kindergarten, first and second grade.
The Park Day School Parent Association hosts events at the homes of current Park Day School families for prospective parents-- stay tuned for dates. We also hold an on-campus campus mixer on Saturday, January 20 where prospective parents can talk with staff, teachers, board members and current parents.
Step 3 – Complete the online application
Kindergarten Applicants: 90 minute group visit & assessment. Once we receive your application and teacher recommendation form, you will receive a link to sign up for your visit day. We urge you to submit your application early if you have scheduling concerns. At least one parent should plan to stay on campus during your child’s assessment. During that time, you will participate in a group activity and have a chance to talk one on one as a family with a member of our staff.

1st & 2nd Grade Applicants: 90 minute group visit & assessment on Thursday, Feb 8 or Friday, Feb 16. At least one parent should plan to stay on campus during your child’s assessment. 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Applicants: Individual all-day student visits and assessments take place on: Weds, Jan 31, Thurs, Feb 1, Tues, Feb 13, Thurs, Feb 15, Weds, Feb 28, Thurs, March 1.
6th Grade Applicants
7th & 8th Grade Applicants: Individual visits scheduled on Feb 7 and Feb 28. The Admissions office will contact you to schedule your child’s visit once your application is received.
Step 6 -- Admission Decisions Notification
Park Day will send admission decisions on Friday, March 16, 2018. Tuition information for the 2018-19 school year will be included in the acceptance packets. Families who have applied for financial assistance will be notified of any financial assistance allocation at the same time they receive their offer of admission.
Step 7 -- Enroll in Park Day School
To enroll, families must return their signed enrollment contract and the required deposit no later than 9:00 AM on Friday March 23, 2018. We know that choosing a school is a monumental decision, and are here to support you every step of the way.
