Read-a-Thon

Read-a-Thon

Thank you for supporting the Read-a-Thon!

One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the school year among Park Day students is our annual Read-a-Thon–a tradition since 1976!  Students transform their classrooms into cozy and creative reading spaces, welcome guest readers and local authors, and spend the day focused on the written word.  Students collect pledges from friends and family around the globe as they read all day to raise funds to support Park Day School.

The Read-a-Thon raises funds for special projects designed to strengthen our culture of community and belonging.  As caretakers and changemakers, we have a duty to preserve and improve Park Day School’s magical learning environment. Projects funded through the Read-a-Thon have included investing in our literacy program, the beautification of our gardens, refurbishing the Innovation Workshop, and the construction of both a Meadow Pavilion and an Art Studio.

The next Read-a-Thon will be held on Friday, May 17th, 2024.  Watch for more information to come about this wonderful springtime event.  We welcome and appreciate your support!
