Discover a school that will nurture your child’s love of learning.
Home Admissions Welcome
Thank you for including Park Day School in your school search. We look forward to getting to know you and your family! We invite you to start your school search by signing up to visit the school: create an account on Ravenna and click “explore” or “apply” from there to register for an online information session or in-person visit.
At Park Day School, we prepare students to be informed, courageous, and compassionate people who shape a more equitable and sustainable world. Classes, lessons, and experiences emphasize creativity, exploration, and discovery. We teach critical and moral reasoning, and encourage students to take intellectual risks while adapting thoughtfully to new situations and challenges. As students develop academic skills alongside compassion and a sense of fairness, they become confident in themselves, their abilities, and find a sense of belonging. The result is engaged young leaders who carry a love of learning with them throughout their lives.
Through our admission process, we seek to enroll students and families who will thrive in a collaborative, academic setting. Within our K-8 progressive program, developing intrinsic motivation is key. Our curriculum is intended to teach young people how to find satisfaction through development and mastery of academic challenges rather than from outside rewards.
We hope that your school search and the admissions process helps you learn more about your child, and about the educational environment that makes most sense for your family. We are here to support you every step of the way. Please don’t hesitate to reach out 510-496-5151 or josie.agshapiro@parkdayschool.org.
Sincerely,
Josie A.G. Shapiro Chief Enrollment & Admission Officer
